Ever since the death of her parents she's never really invested too much into her friendships, since she didn't have a lot of motivation to do much of...really anything - but with her renewed sense of self with Light in her life, and coincidentally, with his absence, she has time to focus on relationships like these. Leanne's words touch her heart, knows that they are genuine, and it feels surprisingly...good? To have her affection returned and to be supported.
Misa is an affectionate person in general to her friends, and that would soon become very obvious to Leanne once she feels the warmth of Misa's lips on her cheek, just for a passing second. Her head soon returns to Leanne's shoulder, a short giggle coming out like an exhale. ]

[ She's an idealist, a romanticist, someone who thrives off of attention and affection. She liked the ideal of commitment, and found comfort in permanence (even if only attainable through toxic means ex: her relationship with her 'boyfriend'), so what Leanne says really comforts her. And she's more than willing to cement their friendship; Misa has an iron grip on all people who got close to her. It's easy to get close to Misa, but it's so, so hard to get away from her once she has you in her sights. ]
You can ask me for help too, even if I can't do some of the things you can... I'll find ways to help you in my own way!

[ The kiss to the cheek is short and sweet, though unexpected so of course Leanne's face is colored a shade of red in response to the affectionate gesture. She never had girl friends who held onto her like Misa did but the complete contrast in comparison to what she imagined back in the facility is met with a smile; bright and fresh, a new experience that warms her down to the marrow of her bones.

Though she calms the rapid beat of her chest so that it is only a soft vibration against her rib cage. It's all platonic, after all, and when the smaller moves to rest her head on her shoulder Leanne carefully leans her head against the top of hers. ]
