[ Well the wind thing is a little unexpected but it's also such a Gaius thing that it's cute?? But that's not the point. ]
Would you do that for me? I'd really appreciate it.
And... I might not be able to say much, but I will tell you that I had absolutely no intention on hurting anyone. It was a job I took from some guy who went to Shades Darker, maybe you can find out some more from the people there?
Of course I would, especially after everything you just said. That just confirms my suspicions that this is more complicated than it looks. The other named 'criminal' I'm speaking to has said something similar.
I have work to do with the Royal Guard, but when I'm free from that I'll check out what I can. Can you tell me anything more about the job?
It was a mercenary job. He said that we had to grab a carriage from a few from Wyver, that it was filled with weapons that would bring some real bad to this place. Then he told us to bring it to the South Outpost and his buddies would take care of it. Which they did.
I mean, yeah... In some areas it's not like I'm a hero, the job itself required me hurting other people, but I had no intention or any part with attacking the city. But I'm not unfamiliar with this kind of work, though, so don't worry about this bringing me down.
[Well. That explains how she knows how to use a gun. To an extent. It seems Leanne has much more depth than he'd suspected.]
Hurting people isn't always easy. Even an enemy has a family, so I think I understand. I won't worry too much about you, then. I've already seen how well you can handle yourself once before.
I believe you'll be fine as well. I don't think our group is quick to throw others out. If anything, I'm sure you'll all have plenty of people willing to help.
[And. Some not willing. But surely, the helpful outnumber the rest.]
I'd appreciate it. And if you see a hawk with bad manners, that's Zeo. He might be carrying something, especially if you need anything sent to you.
Is that how you see him? Maybe in certain situations like this but in my experience he's a little... awkward. Trustworthy and definitely someone who'll take care of you, but I'd be a liar if I said I wasn't surprised that he's this strategic.
I don't know him well enough to say for certain, honestly. But the first time we spoke, he had some thought-provoking things to say. And today, he seemed almost too calm about what was happening. There's something impressive about him. If given the choice, I'd agree with you. I'd trust him before distrusting him.

That's despicable. If I were in the same situation, I may have acted exactly like you did. Try to keep in mind that you were only trying to help.
[As opposed to beating herself up. Gaius sees no reason to blame people who were misled.]

So you'll hardly have to worry about needing to do a check up, I'm gonna be fine.
[ But... ]
I mean not like an hourly thing, unless anything big happens, but I'll at least make sure to respond daily.

A hawk with bad manners? Can't say I've ever interacted one with good manners so tell him I'm sorry in advance if I mix him up another bird.
no subject
I'll be sure to do just that. And I'll remind him you know how to shoot as well.

Do those letters mean something? Or did you mistype?
I did tell another person in your situation. His name is Archer. Zeo's met him and will be able to recognize him easily.
no subject
Yeah. I mistyped. Don't worry about it.
Oh! You know Archer? That's great! Then everything should be smooth sailing on our end.
no subject
Oh, so you know him as well? I can't say I've spoken to him much, but he strikes me as the kind of man who's always thinking a step or two ahead.
