◎ Character's Canon: Resonance of Fate; Game
◎ Character's Age: 22
◎ Canon Point: Chapter 13, immediately after receiving her birthday gifts from Zephyr and Vashyron.
◎ Background/History: Here.
◎ Is the character a hacker and/or do they have a sixth-sense? Nope!
◎ Personality:
Cheerful, kind, and outspoken, Leanne is everything people would expect of a young woman her age despite her very sheltered life. It's not uncommon to see her with a smile on her face, and she definitely has the manners to match her dresses while introducing herself to people she is unfamiliar with. Though she can seem reserved and almost frightened by people who invade her personal space, and often times more than not she'll explain her discomfort through random bursts, example being when she was forced to wear a ridiculous amount of makeup (and hair ornament to match) in order to please their client. However, she does seem to become much less flustered when she's the one ignoring personal space.
Though just like any other person, it should be warned that she is not one that you'd want to anger. Don't let her looks fool you, while she's more likely to express her distaste towards someone she is familiar with, Leanne is unafraid of giving someone a good kick or slap to the face when she sees fit. Many examples of this are due to Vashyron's comments about her body type, to where he even received a nice kick to the gut when he tried to look up the skirt of a statue of Leanne that a client had created and then was later (surprisingly) purchased by another. It can often lead to awkward situations, in which she hits first and thinks later—and often apologizes so long if she believes that the other person probably didn't deserve it.
She also plays something similar to a big sister role, especially to Zephyr who she often scolds to come down for breakfast or to at least leave his room on days he sulks to himself. She does often tease him from time to time, but even she doesn't have the heart to laugh when Zephyr takes his first sip of alcohol and coughs it back up. It should also be included that she's often victim of the same teasing of Vashyron, obviously, but often learns life lessons from him—an example when they discuss what exactly a quartz is and her questioning if it's truly a dream if it's something someone could simply just buy. So, in a sense, Leanne is a person who doesn't believe that happiness can just be bought.
She can be quite stubborn from time to time with her decisions; sometimes outright rejecting certain jobs but then later often accepting them and hanging her head in defeat. Though she is unafraid to stand her ground, she's a person who one can be easily persuaded after someone else gives enough effort. (And admittedly they don't have to do much depending on the importance of the situation or the person persuading her. Vashyron has been a major reason why Leanne goes through with certain jobs because of his persistence.) But there are situations that will be impossible to convince her into agreeing to them despite anything. These situations are mainly centered around the people in her life, with an example being Zephyr in which she continuously disagreed with him dying. And if it's one thing that Leanne believes in whole-heatedly, it's that if a person should die it should be on their own terms. Not something that "fate" has mapped out for them, but something that they decided on their own; which is why she didn't simply sit idly while Zephyr was being attacked, shooting down a man who had intentions of killing him without even batting an eyelash before approaching Zephyr and expressing her anger and disappointment that he was willing to lie down and die without courage.
And to be honest, in topics such as life or death, Leanne can be an incredibly emotional person. While she often seems cheerful and expresses her joy without hesitation, she's just as quick to reveal her anger and sadness. Often bursting into tears and yelling, or just silently crying to herself and quickly getting over it after a small moment of silence. These are often tears shed for the people she cares for most, rather than it is for herself; especially in Zephyr's case where she cries when she finds out about his past and then when he almost allows himself to die before she comes to save him. Though she honestly tries not to cry with the main reason being that she feels the need to put up a strong front just as Vashyron and Zephyr do, despite not being aware of their own pasts and insecurities until further into the game. And also because she thinks, "if I cry, I'll ruin my makeup"—which may seem like a silly excuse to most, but she's going to stick with it.
This isn't to say that Leanne isn't a strong person, however, because she certainly is. She's dealt with many experiences close to death, was brave enough to venture out into a world unknown to her, and continues to fight along the side of her two most cherished friends despite the consequences of a life as a hunter. She's become much more brave since she had escaped from the research facility, but still strives to become a stronger person both physically and emotionally. It's quite obvious as well with how insecure Leanne is in terms of her skills in the beginning of the game, often times belittling her ability with a gun and sometimes apologizing for dragging the team down. In truth, she's just as tough as the guys, but has yet to recognize this due to her constant struggle to improve. And fortunately after the many events leading to her canon point, she had definitely improved and has become a stronger individual who is both confident and headstrong with her decisions.
Her time in Basel with both Zephyr and Vashyron helped her realize that, in fact. The two of them motivate her to continue forward and keeping fighting, even if she is hurt or unable to forget moments of the past that still leave deep scars. Fighting, as well, turns out to be one of her motivations in her long road of becoming a strong, brave, and overall a better person. She wants to live for herself and the people that she cares for most, protecting and caring for them in every way she can in order for them to live; and ultimately have a much more fulfilling life. It's only to be expected coming from a girl who cheated death twice and has no desire to die now. Though she does hold some concern as to why she was blessed with the ability to live while the other nineteen children were forced to die. However the seems to die down once she is reunited with Juris, a researcher in the facility, in which she confesses of her fear of not being able to let go of the past.
And while her job contradicts with her personality, considering how dangerous it is with both monsters and thugs either wishing to maim her or send a bullet through her skull, she's grown to adjust to it. The difference between taking her own life and having her life taken by someone else is the possibility of dying while having no control over it. She doesn't desire to die due to reasons unknown, and would much rather take matters into her own hands rather than waiting to die after realizing her fate just before it was rewritten. This also applies when she learns that her quartz is in the hands of someone else, in which the possibility of her living is seemingly squashed to nothing due to certain circumstances. Instead of lying down and crying over the thought of her possibly dying, Leanne instead searches for the man who has the answer to every question she's had since leaving the facility. It's so important to her that she pushes away any amount of fear in favor of finding out all the things that have been haunting her the past year.
Besides living, the most important part of her life is obviously both Zephyr and Vashyron. Despite having only been with the two of them for two years, she's learned to care for the two of them as family, despite never really having one of her own. She's willing to go to great lengths to keep them alive and well, even after learning that Zephyr was the reason behind a massacre and killed a man who aimed for him. She just couldn't imagine him dying, and his life was her first concern in that situation. So it's easy to tell that even if you have done terrible things in the past, as long as you reveal to have an honest and good heart, Leanne will still continue to protect and befriend you despite this surprise. She has taken full responsibility of being the reason for Zephyr to live, and intends to live a happy and fulfilling life beside the two of them.
Though one should never believe that Leanne is completely dependent on the two. She's perfectly capable of taking care of herself, which is seen on both the battlefield and even when she agrees to take several jobs by herself. Though she's certainly more of a team player, she won't hesitate to take on something on her own if need be. And admittedly she is quite oblivious to any sort of subtle hint, an example is when she did not recognize Pater's invitation to see her was actually a request for a date, which can lead to be either a blessing or a curse depending on the situation. Overall, Leanne has fortunately gained a newly found confidence during her canon point, and hardly ever belittles her abilities now that she has realized her potential and her own strengths. As well as the importance of finding a new path in life that she has created all on her own.
◎ Powers/Abilities:
Leanne's most notable ability is the fact that she can perform gravity defying acrobatics all while using a number of weaponry mostly ranging from guns to bombs. She's only had a year of experience, but she's already up to par with both Zephyr and Vashyron, with the latter being a former soldier. Admittedly she's not as fast as the two of them, but she shares the same endurance and can go long periods of fighting without growing tired.
In addition to this, in Leanne's world everyone has something called a "quartz", which is a small jewel that contains that persons life within it. If it is destroyed, the person experiences a mild heart-attack, or something of the sort, and dies shortly after. The quartz is originally created to give each person in Basel a set amount of time in life, and Leanne's was personally tampered with in attempts of finding immortality. In all actuality Leanne was meant to die on her 20th birthday, but lived through it somehow when the programming of the Zenith system nullified her expiration date. Of course, this doesn't mean that she's immortal because of it. Leanne still suffers from having an average human body who succumbs to enough physical damage, and is also prone to the common cold and other illnesses.

"Vashyron! Zephyr!"
Leanne continued to call out those two names for some time, a large piece of her hoping that by doing so one of the many bodies walking would turn towards her and be just who she was calling for. Her blood pumped rapidly through her veins, the concern on her features quite obvious to the people around her if they even bothered to look.
When she opened her eyes, she expected to see them. To smile happily for another brief moment before she ran off to go see Cardinal Rowen, the man that held the answers as to why she was alive and why he decided to change her fate in order for her to die just one year ago. The thought that she wouldn't be able to accomplish these things brought a sense of rage that was almost foreign to her, piling up with the anxiety and concern that was already being placed heavily onto her shoulders.
Leanne attempts to calm the harsh beating in her chest by taking in a large breath—and fortunately enough, it works, straightening herself and quickly having the fear of unfamiliarity vanish along with the negative emotions she experienced just previously. It wasn't like her to dwell onto something for too long, especially when she knew that she had the strength to face it. Even if she wasn't exactly used to being in one place and suddenly appearing in another, it did remind her slightly of her experience of leaving the facility. Something new, something completely foreign to her that brings a sense of curiosity to cover up the worry that still settled in her chest.
And once she had calmed, that curiosity had certainly came to surface. Finally realizing the different atmosphere, taking note of the buildings surrounding her, and quickly adjusting to the fact that she was currently alone in such an unfamiliar environment. Looking around with eyes wide, imagining the looks on both Zephyr and Vashyron's faces if they could see the same thing she was witnessing. It brings a smile to her face, oddly enough, only because she can already hear the disinterest in Zephyr's voice as if he were here.
"It's alright," She speaks to herself, nodding her head in acceptance, "Yeah, they'll be alright."
There's no denying it, those two were capable of anything—she was capable of anything. And she gives a quick inner pat on the back, nodding in reassurance that she would be fine despite Zephyr and Vashyron not being at her side. Besides, this wasn't too far from her experience of leaving Aetersyl and having everything about herself and the nineteen other children who were placed under the same experiment thrown at her all at once. And while she was able to survive that with the help of Zephyr, she was more than confident enough to continue living through this on her own.
◎ Is your character retaining any previous game memories?
Yes! Leanne will be retaining her memories from her stay in Zelien at
She did, however, have an experience with her closes "friend" (admittedly Leanne still calls her that) in the city of Zelien that had her take a step back from her usual confidence. It was a traumatic experience of having her mind altered due to drugs in the alcohol that was provided at the local bar which caused her to not only stab her friend, at the time, Michonne, but also injure a young boy by the name of Hibari Kyoya. The reaction she had after it isn't really rare, considering that she's a character that normally wears her heart on her sleeve, but did require some talking to until she was back in her usual spirits. She still feels guilty, however, since Michonne later distanced herself from Leanne.
